I’m a British freelance journalist and correspondent specialising in in-depth reported features on social issues around Europe. My writing and photography have been published by the BBC (multiple sections), The Guardian, The Telegraph, Wired, The Economist 1843, Foreign Policy, The Nation, Thomson Reuters Foundation, Vice, The Independent, The i Paper, Rough Guides, Grazia, Refinery29, Time Out and many more. I have also presented radio documentaries for BBC World Service, produced audio packages for Deutsche Welle, and contributed to BBC Radio 4's From Our Own Correspondent.
I was previously based in Athens, Greece. In October 2019 I relocated to Berlin after receiving the George Weidenfeld Bursary as part of the IJP (International Journalism Programme) fellowship.
Throughout summer 2020 I was a lead editor on Summer of Solidarity, a pop-up pan-European collaborative journalism project, commissioning and editing long form reported features from writers all over the continent.
I am committed to helping diversify media and broadening the range of voices within it. I have lead journalism workshops for young people with Rife magazine in Bristol and at the Ritsona refugee camp in Chalkida, Greece. I am also currently a mentor with The Second Source.
My work has been supported by the IJP (International Journalism Programme), Alfred Toepfer Stiftung and journalismfund.eu cross-border fund.
